Bonjour Michel,
I own both copies of "Reels Psychadeliques" and I always have found them to be amazing Lp's.
I would think it amazing to see you in concert at some point here in Toronto. I know that you have a lot of fans here. That's a fact.
I love 60's garage/punk lp's from Quebec and they were the best in terms of the genre of that period.
Try and get down to this "L'Anglais" province. :)

Paix, Joseph

Allo,

I allways liked your songs. Strangely enough your my favorite singer. i keep watching your interview @ TLMEP.
Anyway from one Michel to another, we were both born on the same day. November 9, 1967 for me.
Bonne Fete Mr. Pagliaro!

Michel, Brampton

Where did the inspiration come from for the song Rain Showers come from? The song has touched me deeply and has so much meaning for my life at this time.
Thank You

Ken, Nanaimo

Hello to Michel Pagliaro,

I grew up with your music, because my big sister loved you to bits. She listened to your songs so often; I learned the lyrics of your earlier songs in French. I am very glad I got to download a lot of my favourites since I got a computer.
I am very impress with your web site. I especially like the music part. Where I can find the lyrics of your new and old songs. French and English.
I recently heard you on the radio and it made me want to look you up. To see what you had become. You have been very busy. Unfortunately, the other web sites I checked out of my other older sisters favourite singer is not so pleasant to look at.
I am sorry I can’t type in French on this keyboard.
I wish you well, and I will keep checking your web site to listen to you. I wish your songs were easier to download though. I have been waiting forever for the song “ton nom imprimé dans mon Coeur”. But I am not giving up.
Take good care
Love,

Jacynthe, Scarborough, Ontario

The better rocker I ever seen

No questions, just high compliments!
What a fabulous concert last night at the Club Soda. Worth traveling some 3,000 miles from Victoria to Montreal.
Michel, you truly rock!

Gail, Victoria, BC

Yesterday I was watching “Tout le monde en parle” when I saw Michel as one of the guests. My wife watches the program more then I do. However Michel sang a song on the program that blew me away. Since the age of 12 (and I’m 45 now) I’ve always wanted to know who sang the song he sang.
Question: What is the title of the song..?
And what Inspired him to write it at the time.
I’m mostly English, and I had no idea he had great English hits.
Great work...Thank you!!! paysano.

Ivan, Blainville

Bonjour Michel,

We really enjoy your music and wondered if you would consider coming to Ontario some time. I think you have quite a large following in this province; The radio stations don’t give you nearly enough air time here!
Anyway, if you ever consider coming to the Toronto area, we would definitely want to see you and round up as many friends and family as we can!!
Hope to see you one day soon!!
All the best, keep up the good music!

Peter and Lois, Ajax, ON

Salut Michel,
Can’t really express what a joy it has been to have seen you after so many years away (me... that is). You’re gig at the Bell Ctr in 2005 was a show-stealer and I’m sure April Wine and Offenbach were more than pleased to have their friend on the same bill.
I grew up in Mtl and have a little story to tell ya if ever I meet you one day. About someone you knew in the 70’s. Anyway... all I want to express is my sincere appreciation for your sound and gift. I can’t continue... it touches me that much - but i think you understand.
Regards to you and your lovely wife. The love you share is obvious. Ciao and take care, I’ll always be listening and hoping for a feasible venue.

Marco Varese, Ottawa (formerly Mtl)

Hello Michel,
This summer I had the great pleasure of catching your show in St-Malachie when you were performing there for their 150th anniversary. Thank you so much! You’re amazing. Would love to see you again. I keep checking your website to see if you might list Toronto as a future show. Any chance of you coming here?
peace,

Kathy, Toronto

Come to Toronto (Massey Hall) please. Merci.

Dan Fraser, Toronto

Hi Pag I am your #1 fan in NY State. Any plans for a concert nearer to NY, say Toronto in the near future? Thanks for the great music.

Paula, Wilson NY

Hey Michel,
Just want to say that I met a D.J.(Doug the canuck) that host a radio show ”THIS GREAT WHITE NORTH” on 91.7 koop FM in Austin at a C.I.A party...
(Canadiens In Austin) for the 1st july.
His show is pretty cool, he plays Canadien music every
sunday night from 7:00 to 8:30...He takes request and find a way to play “L’espion” ... I tought it was pretty cool and brought some good memories .I also enjoyed Coup de coeur
dans l’episode des Bougon.
Keep Rockin’

Patrick Roberge, Austin,Texas

I saw your show back in January in St-Martine and
enjoyed it very much. I was thinking that a best of
dvd project would be neat something that covers some
of your work through the 70s 80s et 90s some of your
early music video productions. Live a Quebec is my
favourite dvd. Thank you

Tom Dooley, Ottawa

Hi Michel, My name is Brian,
I am a longtime fan.
I first saw you play live on
new years eve at I what think was called the
pallaidim on berri st. in 72,73 or 74 I am not sure, but
I know I was not 18 yet! The whole band was wearing shiny
satin suits! Do you remember that gig? you guys were rocking that night!!! I am also a musician and have a rehearsal space at 1180 st.antoine st. While talking
to some of my neigbours I found out there is a legend
that you used to practice in this building,is this true? Best wishes And keep on rocking! ciao

Brian, Montreal

We will be getting married August 4th. Brenda is a huge fan of yours and requests a Pagliaro song every Sunday on Toronto’s Q107 Psychedelic Sunday and there is a line up of Pagliaro songs for the wedding on the island. What a surprise when we went through the door to tell our family we were getting married our nephew (who just started playing guitar) was playing a Pagliaro song!
Le Festival du Loup is held every year in Lafontaine (near Penetanguishene), it would rock our world if you could play there some day.

Brenda et Bill, Christian Island

Hello Mr, Pagliaro.....
I will be 44 years old on Thursday May 24th and I still remember the first album that my cousin made me hear.
It was a White album cover with you sketched on a stool with a guitar. The song I heard was “J’entend Frapper”.
I was 8 years old I think...so , having heard your songs through-out these years I must say...Good job!!!!!!!!
Your songs are great, have depth and most of all they are written and sung in such a way that they will be listened for a very long time.
Mr. Pagliaro , I always say “Better late than never”;...
I’ve finally found the time after 36 years to say...

You are a Fantastic entertainer, songwriter and down to earth person.

Sincerely,
Renato, Kirkland

No question - I just wanted to say that I’m a fan and I really enjoy Mr. Pagliaro’s music. :-)

Stephanie,London, UK (Toronto)

The song “some sing, some dance” is a classic. Moves through all of the years of my life and still moves me....thank you Michel.....

Don, Edson, Alberta

No questions today just wanted to let you know how great it is to know how solid you have stayed throughout the years...and you look terrific too! I have been raving about you and your artistic abilities for years around this town...it saddens me that it is impossible to order any of your music from the local music stores (we only have CD plus and the big box stores). I settle with cranking up Toronto station Q 107 because they seem to be the only place around here with a brain in their head to appreciate Michel Pagliaro.
I work at a women’s shelter for abused women and children with two women who were raised in Montreal. When I asked them if they knew who you were they looked very surprised then broke out in song and dance, it was great!
With this years holidays I want to visit Quebec (my grandmother was born in Hull in 1900) and hopefully I can look forward to find out where you will be playing.
Merci for giving my ears the gift of the talent you were given, it is appreciated.

Brenda, Midland Ontario

Pag you’re great. Get back to English recordings. You are Canada’s Springsteen. Rock n’ Roll will never die.

Forza Pagliaro!

Mike, Montreal and Laval

I've been a huge fan of Michel's for years and years. I'm a songwriter singer--I recorded a version of "Lovin' You Ain't Easy" a few years back on my cd "Temporary Setback". He's been one of my biggest inspirations. I wish he'd do a gig in Minneapolis!

Todd Newman, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Hi Michel,
Just wanted to let you know that one of my Favorite songs is your "Some Sing, Some Dance". First heard it on the radio {WKBW} in Buffalo, NY in August of 1972. It was played for only a short time and then disappeared... but I managed to get the 45rpm single of it. It was and is a great song and should have been a "smash hit" in the U.S. in 1972!

Bill, Scottsdale, AZ.

Every time I hear one of your tunes on the radio I love it more than the last time I heard it. Your music is timeless. Sure hope you can get out west here sometime in the future.

Colin Maxwell, Chilliwack, B.C.

Love your early '70s singles "Some Sing, Some Dance" and "Lovin' You Ain't Easy". They are classics to me.

Fred, Los Angeles

It doesn't seem to matter how many years go by, classic songs are as fresh and enjoyable today as they were when brand new. I consider several of your songs classic and love to hear them each and every time they are played: Lovin You Ain't Easy, Rainshowers, What the Hell I Got, Some Sing, Some Dance - these are great and rank high in my all-time favourites. Thanks for writing and singing them.

bcannie, Kamloops

Hi's from the south ..
If you're hooked to the music .. there's more. I had the priviledge to meet him a few years back helping him build a studio in Montreal. He is a man you can't forget. I'm years after and the impression he left me was that of a man of good. I'm still remembering the whole thing like it was yesterday .. The moment I'll always remember is sitting in a cafe ordering expresso .. I was about to put milk in it .. he just winked telling me " milk is for kids " .. I never used milk in expresso ever again :) That's my way to remember the good times :) There is more to the man .. a lot more. But that's for each of us that have the chance to be with him and a chance to really know the man behind the guitar to find out , and to cherish. Hopefully .. I'll be in Canada soon .. and him playing somewhere I can order an expresso :)

Tourlou,
Richard Hebert, Jacksonville, Florida

Hi Michel,
Just a few words to thank you for providing so many musical highlights in my life. One of my favorite moments was the gig @ the Hotel Nelson, in the 70's, probably 75 or 76, when your band included Walter Rossi, Jack August, and Marty Simon. Rock and roll never sounded better. Thanks for those cherished memories!

Best Regards,
Mike, Vancouver

Hello, Pag.
This is your no.1 fan from New York. My sister and I went to see your show at l'Assomption, Quebec, April 16th, 2005. You and the band autographed my vinyl records for me, wow that was so cool, you rock. Thanks again and looking forward to your new material, french and english. Please let me know and I will order some copies. Can't wait.

Take care, you're friend from NY
Brian, Watertown

I just wanted to say hello and hope you are doing well. I am a huge fan of the music and am just about to purchase a set of drums your drummer used over the years. They have been all around the world. They were sold from him to a guy I know at a music store hear in Winnipeg. Also I recently found some original singles of your stuff and the first 2 albums unopened. I am going to keep these for keep sakes as I am a real collector of Canadian music. I do work in radio in Winnipeg and have been in it for many years. So you can be very happy that every radio station I have worked at they have played your music proudly and if they didn't have it I put on cart for them to play. So I just wanted to say thanks for the great songs and memories. I can say I am very proud to listen to your music.Hopefully one day you will hit Winnipeg and sing some tunes. All the best to you in the future.

Todd Raymond, Winnipeg

Hello Michel
This isn't a question...just a positive comment. As a Canadian, overseas, it is so great to hear music from home. I recently heard "Lovin You Ain't Easy". Brought back many wonderful memories. Thank you for so many years of great music, both in English and French. Keep Rockin' Michel !! Merci.

Steve, Greater London (U.K.)

Salut,
I just wanted to let you know that I saw one of your shows a few years back at the Montreal Casino. WHAT A SHOW. I had brought some friends and they were blown away. Thanks for the music Michel. Rock on!

Roger, Montreal

I just sent you an email asking if you're planning any shows in Vancouver. Then i noticed that you answer questions yourself! wow - that is almost unheard of. I want to tell you how much I love the song "Rainshowers." I spent many months trying to find out who wrote/performed that song. When I discovered your website, I realized you have several songs I love and never knew who performed them. It is great to "discover" an artist that has really been part of your life all along.

Deb, Vancouver.

Hi Michel,
I have just manged to get hold of a copy of the "Goodbye Rain" CD and have been blown away by its brilliance. So much so that I have it playing wherever I go. The classic "Lovin you aint easy" has always been one of my favourites ever since it hit the UK charts back in the early seventies and I still have the 7 inch vinyl. Is there a chance you'll ever play over in the UK in the not too distant future or am I simply going to have to come over to Canada to fulfill a dream? Keep on Rockin'.

Regards,
Ernie, Coventry, UK

Hi Michel,
Couldn't believe my eyes or ears when I managed to find this web site. I was beginning to believe I had dreamed the whole thing back in the '70's growing up in Northern Ontario. So good to know that you are alive and kickin' and obviously have produced some amazing stuff since then! What the hell is wrong with the Canadian rock scene anyway that you aren't played more? I mean, damn I have been in the States for only 8 years now, before this there was no mention of your music from the '80's on! I have been trying to educate my American husband about Canadian rock for a long time now and to finally have him listen (albeit small tidbits) to your stuff instead of my pathetic attempts is really great. Look,it's really just great to hear all this great great music again that really made me proud to be a Canadian. Anyway, thanks for the listen... did I ask a question... yes well the obvious is how do I get my hands on any of it? Hey, PAGLIARO ROCKS!

Rew Van Wyck, Indianapolis

Glad to see you have this website & are still out there rocking! Will you come & play for us in Minnesota soon? It's hard to find your music on CD in the US. I hope you will finally release some new tunes this year. Best to you & yours.

Jay, Edina, Minnesota USA

Hey Michel,
Haved loved your music for a very long time. I now live in Calgary and think it would be great to see you out here during Stampede. Don't know what the hell I got but guess I miss Quebec (Moved here 8 years ago). So the question is: Do you believe you'll ever play any concerts in Western Canada? A lot of people from Montreal have moved here and we'd love to see you.

Mark, Calgary

Hi Michel,
Your amazing songs (in both languages) helped provide the sound track to my life growing up in the 70s and 80s. All the tunes still stand the test of time today - which is a real credit to you. Tell me what it`s like having such a talent like Steve Hill join the band?

John, Dorval, Que.

Michel,
For the past several years I have been performing an all-Canadian solo acoustic show at pubs show all over Ontario. I cover everyone from Hank Snow to Nickleback. Besides playing the songs I also engage the audience with facts and trivia about the artists and songs. On New Years Day this year, after my show, a man congratulated me on the performance and said he was mightily impressed with my versatility and knowledge on Canadian music, but, he said, I had a made a glaring ommission in the greats of Canrock. Pagliaro. I had never heard of you. I wrote the name down in my book as something to look into. Three nights later I'm in Smiths Falls and the crowd is hollering for Neil Young, Bryan Adams, Paul Anka. Some guy yells "Pagliaro!" The fates have spoken and I need to have you represented in my show. I've been researching the internet and various books at the local library, but I can't figure out what your "biggest" song is. What was your best selling single? If you could choose the song I play, which one would it be? I really like Rainshowers.

Thanks,
Steve Fisher, Belleville, Ontario

I had a super crush on Pag in the 70's and his song "M'lady" was the best for me. Found Pag's site tonight and he made me cry all over again. Thanks Michel and I'll see you in April cause I'm trying to get some tickets for your show with April Wine and Offenbach. WOW!

Diane, Madawask, Maine

Dear Michel,
I've been a fan of yours for years and believe you are one of Canada's best musical artists. However, trying to obtain your material on CD is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I bought your double CD set, but it still did not have material that I was hoping for. A song I love titled, "Quand on fait l'amour" is not on it. I've tried finding the Bamboo CD or the LP but with no luck. Why don't your distributors make your material more easily available. You are one artist who should have been heavily marketed around the world and these clowns who controlled the marketing did a lousy job. You are a pioneer of Canadian bilingual artists. Thanks for the wonderful music you've made and the joy you've given. I hope you continue to release more great stuff.

Sincerely,
Larry Rieger, Montreal

I bought Pagliaro's "Lovin' you ain't easy" single back in 1971. Liked it then, like it now. The B-side in England was a song called "She Moves Light", I think. Can find no mention of this track in the discography listed on the website. Just wondered if my memory is correct and, if it is, whether there are any further details available about the song.

Many thanks,
Ron Morley, Liverpool, England
