Eric Lapointe, who has been part of La Voix since the 2nd series in 2014, has chosen Michel Pagliaro as his mentor in 2017. Pag is putting his many years of experience at the benefit of the talented contestants on Lapointe’s team.

Who better to help coach Éric Lapointe than Quebec’s first rock icon : Michel Pagliaro ! Since the late 60s, this trailblazer has inspired generations of singers with hits like “J’entends frapper” and “Les bombes”. Our national Pag has imposed his brand both here and in the rest of Canada, making his way simultaneously up both Anglo and Franco charts. An ingenious singer-songwriter, outstanding guitarist and record producer, this pioneer has mastered all the spheres of the musical universe.

La Voix is Quebec’s franchise of The Voice, the reality television singing competition show, based on Holland’s The Voice of Holland appearing in many countries since 2011, rivalling similar talent shows such as American Idol, The X Factor and others. Quebec’s version is in it’s 5th series in 2017. These shows feature 4 coaches, who are well-known recording artists who choose aspiring singers to join their team and finally be chosen the Voice. Each coach also has a respected artist as a mentor who helps them during the 2nd phase of the show, the battle rounds.

La Voix airs Sundays in Quebec this spring on TVA at 7.30pm.
