| We receive questions weekly asking if and when Michel's
older material will be available on CD. We all hope so
some day, but for now please see Michel's answer to the
question below: |
In 1973 I worked in a Vancouver record store and discovered
your LIVE album. We played it on the store turntable and before
side one was finished the customers bought all 3 copies. We
ordered all the available ones from the warehouse (4). Those
sold the same way. But then we could get no more for ages
and the momentum of sales slowed. Now no-one knew who you
were but they loved your rock'n'roll. I had that album, and
almost all of your others in both Fr and Eng, but alas foolishly
sold all my albums awhile ago when I moved to an apartment
and had no more room. Now I want to replace that fantastic
record with the CD. Why o why do you not repalce it? I am
not as interested in a new concert, I want that one. And I
see it is by far the most popular item on you favourite record
survey....
Wayne Isly, Vamcouver
Well I'm happy to hear that story,
and thanks for the time. For the moment 'Live' and the other
old records have not been re-issued and might not be in the
near future, but it's not impossibsle down the road ...
All the best, Michel
I have been to several cd chain stores and have not been able
to find any of Michel's music. I have asked if they are able
to order any of his music for me and the answer has always been
'no'. He is not even on their list of performers. Why is that?
Is it possible to get the name(s) of a store which carries his
music? Thanks.
Allan Ellis, Bradford, Ontario
Allan,
Old vinyls are probably still available in some collector stores.
All the best, Michel Pagliaro
I have listened to your "Pagliaro I" album so much I have
pretty much worn out the vinyl. to me this album is not only
a favorite but a classic. have been looking for a cd of this
particular album for a few years now with no luck. thought
maybe you could help me out. p.s. love your version of Walking
the Dog; Have to say I like it better than Aerosmith's version.
Dana Krause, Penticton, B.C.
Dana, Thank you for the compliment and
old vinyls are probably still available in some collector
stores.

Hi Michel,
Can you tell us who was Second Helping and if there was any
particular reason why you released a single under that name?
Is there any other recordings by Second Helping other than
the one single (Dancin' till it blows over)? Great song!
John, Ottawa, Ontario
John,
Second Helping were the same people that played on my records.
The reason the record was released under a second name was
because I enjoyed the tracks but already had something out.
Yes, there is an instrumental track called Safari. I had fun
making it with by buddy bassist Jack August.

The Goodbye Rain CD included some great new songs but very
little in the way of liner notes. Can you tell us when and
where the previously unreleased songs were recorded? Of course
I am referring to: Wild Love, Isn't that So, Goodbye Rain,
Ring-Ring, and No Man Can Do It Alone.
John, Ottawa, Ontario
Isn't that So:
recorded at Tempo studios in 1975 on Mcgill street in Montreal.
I did the vocal and accoustic guitar in a stairwell while
the band was in the studio. I don ‘t remember what take we
kept but there were very few.
Goodbye Rain: recorded at my
Montreal studio in 1997.
No Man Can Do It Alone: recorded
in 1980 in my Old Montreal studio with Jimmy Zeller doin’
the other vocal. It was done guitar and drums, I added the
bass after.
Wild Love: 1974, it was an unreleased
english version of a previously released french track.
Ring-Ring: recorded in1973, was
an unreleased english version of a previously released french
track

With all the live shows we've been presented within the
last few years, can we aspire to a live album?
Bruno Landucci, Montreal
Bruno, a live album or dvd is a definite
possibility.
All the best, Pag
Hi Michel,
Do you have any plans to perform anytime soon for your fans
in Toronto?
Cheers, Dan, Toronto
Dan I would love to play Toronto. There aren’t any plans at
the moment but that might change real soon.
Michel Pagliaro
At the 1987 comeback shows at The Spectrum you played several
new songs in English. Have any of those been recorded and
might we see them on a CD someday?
Steve M., Montreal
Steve,
I do have english material that has never been recorded and
I definitly will be recording more english material.
